Is it already Wednesday?

Annie
Hello
Hello from Outer SpaceLook what we found?
Gosh, time does fly when one is busy! How's your Wednesday going so far? I'm so happy it's 25 degrees here in Melbourne. Nice nice warm weather. Finally! I got so sick of the cold wintry winter. It's good that it's sunnier now. Anyway, just thoguht I'd take a break and pop by and show you pictures I took on Sunday. Darren fixed the brakes and seat on my poor bicycle, of which I call Annie, and so, we took her out on a little cycle around our neighbourhood. We came across an abandoned armchair which we thought was pretty cool, just sitting by the roadside, very Juno.

Alright, it's time for me to get back to my essay.
Or rather to this little documentary first, before my essay ;-)

Back from the mountains

And I miss it already! It was so nice, smelling the fresh air, looking at all the green around me. We had scones with jam and climbed a not-so-little hill, to take in a huge beautiful view of Melbourne. Jump and ran around large forest clearings, singing songs from The Sound Of Music, explored, laughed and found old cartoon records which are no longer used today. Bought yummy yummy Matcha tea. I bought myself a sweet horse cup. I love horses. Alway did!

Oh and we scored ourselves a lovely CD an old man compiled, from his old collection of records.  It runs for 80 mins and it's just 5 bucks! How lucky am I ? You see, I love music from the early 20s, 30s. They're my favourite! I always thought I should have been born in that era. Haha.

And we ended the day with a sweet old man named Joseph. He invited us to look at his beautiful fairytale cottage and home, and played a few pieces on the piano for us. It was so sweet of him. I think maybe he's a little lonely. We didn't see his wife or children, despite his home being filled with flowers, candles and family photos and collages. He even framed up his wedding photo and placed it by the piano, on an easel. I didn't dare ask him what happened to his family so I just kept quiet and watched him while he sang and played tunes on his piano. Such a warm lovely man. It's warm people like him, we need more of, in this world : )

Oh what a wonderful day! I wish I was back up there again.
PS: I secretly think I belong in the woods.

Going away on a little holiday!

After painting so many mountain paintings...
Hello everyone! I'm so happy I'm going up to the mountains tomorrow! We'll be having scones, tea and jam. I can't wait. I'll finally be able to get away from the busy crazy stressful city and disappear in the woods, amidst all the fresh eucalyptus air!

I can't wait! See you soon! I'll be back with pictures to show you!

It's Friday so I bring good news!

Good News
But first, a bit of sad stuff. You know, yesterday was such a horrid day. I basically ran into some trouble with my department head and it wasn't nice at all. Long story short, it wasn't my fault. Because I had approval earlier on but because of miscommunication, approval was given to me to go ahead when it was not allowed in the first place.  The fact that I'm not the only one involved, and that I've got three other friends who are in this with me because being assured myself, I gave them my assurance too. And the whole matter involved a commercial gallery. So in a way, to have to be in charge from all three sides, and having to disappoint everyone and myself, I felt like a bad person.

I cried and cried and couldn't stop crying, I had a migraine headache after that and almost threw up in the city. I had to rush to Priceline pharmacy to get myself some painkillers. It was horrid. And when I came home after school at night, everything that's been bottled up just came out in tears again. I was really really disappointed with what's been happening. The professionalism of it all.

Anyway, I decided, and lucky for me, my other friends who were involved in the same crap as I was have decided to go ahead and do an art show in October-November! Regardless of what's going to happen, we feel getting our works out there and sharing it with you guys would be a much better idea. So yup, we'll be showing at Off The Kerb Gallery in late October! Thank you girls for being so supportive and behind my back as we do this show together! It's sure to be so much fun working with you three!

It's going to be a nature meets tea party sort of show. And I can't wait! We went down to the gallery yesterday to check the space out and plan our upcoming show.

I'll let you in on the details soon! : ) When the invites are all printed and given out!

In the meantime, have a good Friday, it's the weekend tomorrow. I can't wait!

Hello hello!

Key Lime Pie
Just felt like dropping by to say hi! Will be back tomorrow morning with good news! : )
In the meantime, have a terrific Thursday! : )

Oh and yes yes, I shot the image above a while ago. I intend to print it out large. And frame it up as an artwork. Any of you guys know where I should head to, to print large photographic prints? I need a place that's in Melbourne, that's not going to cost a bomb! Let me know if you've got an idea as to where I can go. Thank you!

PS: Hello Zoe and Daddy. Stop stalking my blog! Hah
