Bunny and Daschund Brooches

Bunny Brooch BlueBunny Brooch PinkDaschund Brooch
I know, I said I was going away on holiday already. But just couldn't help it without a little post. I just added some Bunny and Daschund brooches to my little shop! I hope you like them and buy yourself one! They are all individually hand painted! So no two are alike!

Alright! Time for just 1 more sleep, and then I'll be in Bangkok!

See you next week!

Chocolate Cream pie

Chocolate Cream Pie
I got bored with nothing much to do at home. Such a warm humid afternoon. I fell asleep reading my book and I kind of wasn't in the mood for any drawing, so I made a simple chocolate cream pie. It's resting in the fridge now. And I can't wait for it to set so I can taste it and tell you if it's yummy or not.

Anyway, I should get down to packing! I'll be in hot and humid but exciting Bangkok on Sunday for a short vacation with my family. Can't wait!

Till next week, when I'm back!! : )

Your best friend

Brooch of a tiny long-haired daschund wearing a flower garland
Tiny brooch with a long-haired Daschund seated in the middle. She wears a flower garland around her fluffy neck. And I think it would be really nice if she could say hi to people, while she sits lovingly on your favourite top's collar or somewhere near your heart. She's really tiny! Only just about the size of an Australian 20 Cent coin!

Kate Miss necklace!

bluepurplesOverdye_rollo

I know, I said my next post will be on my new brooches.
But I'm way to excited to not do a mini post. But yes.
See the beautiful handwoven purple blue overdye thread necklace? It's mine!
Everyone knows how difficult it is to get your hands on one of these Kate Miss necklaces.

Haha. Apparently waking up early, refreshing the page like crazy,
and just going straight for it without thinking, while still in pajamas and
a fantastic bed head, lets you get it.

Lady luck is on my side today.
: )

More Etsy Favourites

Hello! Over the weekend, I did a little guest post on lovely Anna's blog!
You can read the post here. And truth is, I have so much more favourites I'd like to share!
So just thought I'd share more over here : )

Swoon! These are all so lovely! But my pocket's empty.
So I just have to keep dreaming I own any of these precious little things.
Haha. A girl can dream!

PS: My paper brooches are working out great! I found this magic matte spray thingy that works like a varnish. It makes my brooch smudge and waterproof! How neat! And best of all, it doesn't leave this icky visible thick layer, like most varnishes do. It's practically invisible and not even there! How neat!
I'll show you the ready made brooches in my next post, I promise!

Rabbits with full lace collars, pink trimming and a cute tummy

Rabbit with a full lace collarDetail
Fingers crossed! xx!
If all goes well, this tiny drawing will be turned into a little brooch.
PS: I like brooches a lot and wear one almost everyday. It would be nice to wear a cute bunny brooch, I think.

Oh and I'm featured as a guest blogger on Anna's lovely blog today!
In my post, I share with readers, some of my favourite Etsy finds!

Ballet Shoes

718263105
I was supposed to be working on some writing for work. But instead, I find myself mesmerized by image stills from Ballet Shoes. I'm so coveting all the pretty dresses, jumpers and leather bags. Even the outdoor tent and bunting scene!

I wish I had a backyard with a nice teepee tent, some colourful bunting and fairy lights! I'd lie on the grass all day long and sip tea while I paint and dance along to music from the Swing era.

Nice! Anyway, here's hoping you'll have a splendid weekend ahead!

Lunch today

Lunch todayI made Sujebi ( hand-torn noodle soup ) for lunch. It's pretty yummy. I ate it with some kimchi and cold tofu. I got the recipe for making the noodle soup here, via Jeana's blog. It's really easy to make and it has no meat at all. You can try making it for yourself! It's really quite quick to whip up!

Mountain tea

Mountain teaBits and piecesSee the paper + cardboard bit at the back? They are mountains I made up. I'll be attaching brooch backs to the back of each mountain. And they will be sitting in a tea bag, with a tag that reads 'mountain tea'.

I have yet to find proper tea bags though! So difficult to look for any in Singapore! If you happen to know anywhere I can get them, do let me know. Thank you!

Barred owls

Drawing I'm working on
A while ago, I was reading up on Barred owls on Wikipedia. And I kind of think they are such beautiful, delicate-looking, powerful birds. So I decided to draw a pair of them. But I haven't got round to finishing the drawing. I got distracted by cats, guinea pigs and rabbits along the way. But yes, I'll be working on it this week!

Oh and just a little announcement!
I've moved my online shop over from bigcartel to etsy.

Alrightyo! You have a great Sunday!

la petit paris!

Looking at all these lovely photos shot by
Jen, what's there not to love about Paris? Everyday I dream of making a Paris zine. In which I'd draw and list all the different places, bakery and cafes, quaint alleys, monumental sculptures, art galleries, fountains and all the other sorts of beautiful things I would love to experience in Paris.

I've never ever been to Paris before. But I've always dreamt of it as such a romantic place. Imagine enjoying my mornings with yummy crossiants, chocolat froid, having picnics in the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, sketching all those sweet balconies, riding around in a rented bicycle, etc. There's just so much beauty in one place, it's impossible to not like it! Back in school, I even learnt French just so I could pretend to speak and be chic. But unfortunately, I've kind of forgotten all/most of it now. Haha.

But yes, until I finish my Sydney zine, get back to school and all, my little Paris zine would have to be a little dream project on hold.

Note to self: I'm on holiday, I should be relaxing and not piling up on work! Hah.
PS: Here's an awesome Paris Guide for download!
