Hammering, measuring, cutting, tying... We finally hung our group show! Darren was nice enough to come help us on both days, so we managed to finish everything faster than expected! We even had the time to pop by Salvos to get a table, for our opening night, which fit miraculously in the car and in the space we needed. Nice. Everything worked out just nicely, it was so surreal!
We finished hanging earlier than expected, on Sunday afternoon and Darren and I decided to wak around and do some shopping. I picked out two ties and three shirts for him. Nice! You know, Darren says he wants to dress like Carl for my opening party, and yes, he's serious about it. So we went around finding him a bow tie but to no avail. Anyone out there knows where to get one? We're thinking cute polka dotted ones. Haha.
We ended the day with late afternoon tea at Fitz cafe. We shared a pot of peppermint tea and a slice of sticky date pudding. Both of which were so good. We promised each other we'll be back to try their other dishes.
And here's a picture of Off the Kerb's resident kitty. She's cute and respects art a lot. She's going to be there opening night!
xx
